— Deborah A. Corona, LMFT

What Is Christian Therapy?

Christian Therapy is much more than a mere integration or blending of psychology and Biblical theology. Also, a Christian therapist is much more than a therapist who is a Christian. It is a distinctive thought and manner of how life is lived for the Christian individual and how one resolves life’s challenges and conflicts — rooted in faith in Jesus Christ.

Therefore, the Christian therapist is not only professionally and clinically trained but is a lifelong Bible student:

“…to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15

Therefore, the overall goal of Christian therapy is to help guide the individual toward Biblical alignment in living a Christ-filled life for facing the problems, conflicts, and challenges that life brings.
